Film Northants Festival

We are delighted to welcome back Film Northants for a weekend-long festival featuring horror, thriller, drama, family and community shorts plus feature length films.

The event will include the established awards ceremony for the annual Film Northants competition of five minute short films, in the Under 16s and Over 16s categories.

The festival will encompass a series of six individual events held at either the Errol Flynn Filmhouse or the Underground studios at Royal & Derngate.

A free film-making workshop for children aged 11 to 16 provided by film education charity Into Film. Learn how to make a film on an iPad in an hour and then watch it on the big screen.

A series of community shorts followed by the documentary Adrenaline: Triumph out of Tragedy. The inspiring film documents the development of Adrenaline Alley, Europe’s biggest indoor urban sports venue, based in Corby, and the tragic story of its late founder John Chard-Young. The screening features a Q&A with the film’s director Paul Balmer and Adrenaline Alley co-founder Mandy Young.
