A tender love story set during a hot summer on a South-East London housing estate. Jamie (Berry) is escaping sport hours, to avoid being the victim of his comrades. Young Ste (Neal), his neighbor, is beaten by his father, and comes to sleep overnight. They discover new feelings, sleeping in the same bed.
Based on Jonathan Harvey’s hugely popular play, Beautiful Thing is the story of two teenage boys thrown together through circumstance, who struggle to overcome embarrassment as they fall in love – and begin to come to terms with their sexuality.
