Q&A with actor Celyn Jones

We are delighted to welcome Celyn Jones to the Filmhouse, for a Q&A after the screening of Set Fire To The Stars on Wed 17 December at 6.15pm, hosted by BBC Radio Northampton’s Pete Cooper.

The film is an account of a few weeks in the life of hell-raising Welsh poet Dylan Thomas as he embarks on a disastrous tour of American universities in the early 1950s. This stylish film features a towering performance from newcomer Celyn as Thomas, and a nicely subdued turn from Elijah Wood as his harassed companion John M. Brinnin.

Shot in sumptuous black and white, and elegantly scripted with an ear for the rich poetry of Thomas’s work, this is both an intriguing biopic and an arty mood piece, rich with a sense of period and moments of heightened magical realism. The film also boasts an original soundtrack by Welsh musician Gruff Rhys.

Tickets are £7.50* and can be bought in person at our Box Office, by calling 01604 624811, or online at www.errolflynnfilmhouse.com.
