Live screening of Bowie film at EFF
On Tuesday 13 August 2013, the Errol Flynn Filmhouse will be screening David Bowie Is Happening Now as part of a nationwide cinema event broadcast live from the Bowie exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum – and you can afford the ticket!
David Bowie Is Happening Now is the finale to the enormously successful exhibition, and the last chance to experience it before its international tour.
The film will be introduced by exhibition curators Victoria Broackes and Geoffrey Marsh, and will feature special guests offering an insight into the stories behind some of the 300 objects from the David Bowie Archive, many of which have never before been displayed in public. It will be directed by BAFTA-winning director Hamish Hamilton, who directed the live TV coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Errol Flynn Filmhouse is one of 200 cinemas that will screen the event simultaneously on Tuesday 13 August 2013. Doors open at 6.15pm, and all customers must be seated by 6.45pm for the event’s introduction. Tickets, priced at £14 (£12 concessions), can be booked by calling the Box Office on 01604 624811 or visiting www.errolflynnfilmhouse.com.
