Presented by The University of Northampton‘s Cult Film Club as part of their Extreme Horror season.

Clive Barker, who Stephen King called “The New Name in Horror”, made his directing debut with this chilling adaptation of his own novel, Hellraiser.

A couple move into a house and discover a hideous creature hiding upstairs who is the man’s half brother and the woman’s former lover. Memorable most of all for the eternally frightening figure of Pinhead, Hellraiser remains a modern horror classic, and an impressive directorial turn from master storyteller Clive Barker.
