Film networking night and local shorts

Film Northants

The talent of local film-makers will be premiered at a networking night at Royal & Derngate on Monday 27 January. The Northants Film Network will be screening three short films made in Northamptonshire and hosting a Q&A session with the film-makers in the Crown Room at the theatre. This will be followed by informal networking for anyone involved in, or interested in, any aspect of film.

The film-makers are all winners and finalists of the annual county film festival Film Northants. At the event you can see the premiere of Lost and Found made by David Easton, Film Northants Public Vote winner in 2010 and 2013, and you’ll have the chance to put questions to writer Colin Hill

The film-maker panel will also include director James Millar, a three-time Film Northants finalist, and animator Ashley Williams who won the Judges’ Choice and Anniversary Award in 2012 with his animated short Disparu

Film Northants Festival Chair Lily Canter said: “This is a great opportunity for the public to see some fantastic films all made in Northamptonshire. The event is designed to help film-makers get together to share ideas but also showcase their work to a wider audience and get feedback from the public.”

The event is open to all and entry is free. Doors open at 7pm and the screening will begin at 7.30pm. If you would like to attend please email [email protected].
