EFFIE Awards 2017 – The Winners

This week on Tuesday 20 June, we marked our third birthday and the 108th anniversary of Errol Flynn’s birth.

We’ve been asking you to help us mark the occasion by taking part in our EFFIE Awards and voting for your favourite films, documentaries and live events seen here since June 2016.

The award for the Best of the Biggest Selling Films went to the critically acclaimed drama Manchester By The Sea, whilst the Best Classic Film was awarded to  One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, screening to celebrate Jack Nicholson’s 80th birthday.

Best Documentary was won by ground-breaking film Notes On Blindness and  Best Live Event was awarded again to our annual Eurovision Song Contest celebration.

Best Film not in the English Language went to Studio Ghibli’s When Marnie Was There and the award for the best film shown in the our Under The Radar season was won by Taika Waititi’s glorious Hunt For The Wilderpeople.
