EFF and NN team up for Eurovision
If you are having trouble making your mind up about where to watch this year’s Eurovision Song Contest final, fear not. Next month we are teaming up with NN Contemporary Art for celebration of all things Eurovision; from art installations to a streaming of the final itself at the Errol Flynn Filmhouse, live from Copenhagen.
Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 16 April for our Eurovision Celebration taking place on Saturday 10 May from 7.15pm. Join us for a night of cheesy splendour including sing-a-longs, dancing, themed snacks and more in tribute to all things Euro-tastic. Represent your favourite country by dressing up in your most OTT outfit and bringing flags and banners. While you wait to find out who is voted this year’s winner, we will provide scorecards so you can pick your own.
BBC Northampton’s Helen Blaby will be your host for the evening, getting you into the spirit of things with a fancy dress competition. Further fun and games will be had during the event as themed food and drink are served. With a playlist of past Euro-hits and misses, videos and competitions, we are sure you won’t give this night nul points!
Admission to the Eurovision Celebration costs £10, with tickets being available on this website and at the Box Office, either in person or by calling 01604 624811.
There will be a free after-party at NN’s new Courtyard following the screening, from 11pm until late.
From Friday 9 until Sunday 11 May, a free exhibition BOOM BANG will be on display at NN celebrating artist music video. In line with Eurovision’s guidelines, curators, artists and institutions across the European Broadcasting Area have been invited to nominate an artist from their country working with music video. The nominated artist music videos will be screened at NN in the lead-up to the Eurovision Song Contest’s grand final.
The NN Café will then be presenting a Culture Clash Quiz Eurovision Special from 10pm on Friday 9 May, as warm-up before the big night.
